Along the way, you must gather information, manipulate your surroundings, and find creative ways to eliminate your targets, all while avoiding discovery and making a clean escape. In addition to the main storyline, it also features a wide range of side missions and challenges that you can undertake, as well as various modes for playing and replaying missions in different ways. It requires an IOI account to access most features.
As expected, the game features a collection of maps, each offering distinct environments for gameplay. From Paris to the streets of Mumbai, these locations provide a variety of settings for Agent 47's missions. The maps are designed with detailed layouts, including hidden paths and interactive elements, allowing for diverse approaches to assassinations. The excess of Dubai, the seclusion of Dartmoor's mansion, and the density of Miami contribute to varied gameplay experiences.
These maps are important to the gameplay, encouraging exploration and observation. The level of detail allows players to learn layouts and understand target routines. Infiltrating a facility in Hokkaido or navigating Marrakesh's markets presents different challenges. However, it can be difficult to master at first, and you need to invest a significant amount of time and effort to become proficient.
The Season of the High Stakes
The game launches the Season of the High-Stakes with The Banker Elusive Target from June 6th to July 6th. Featuring Mads Mikkelsen as Le Chiffre, the iconic James Bond villain and criminal banker working with SPECTRE, the mission sees him desperate to recover lost fortunes via a high-stakes poker game in Paris. Players must infiltrate this risky event and eliminate the calculating target.
Players, as Agent 47, must infiltrate and eliminate Le Chiffre, preventing global havoc. Mads Mikkelsen hints at mind games and high stakes. A new Banker Pack DLC offers permanent access to a two-level Arcade contract featuring The Banker, alongside themed cosmetics including a King of Cards Suit and silenced pistol, enhancing the immersion in this high-stakes world of the Hitman universe.
The Season of the High-Stakes roadmap delivers abundant content: three new challenges, four Featured Contracts Packs, and eight returning Elusive Targets. Players can earn exclusive Twitch Drops, including a Casino Monarchique Chip. Completing the Banker mission also unlocks rewards for the upcoming 007 First Light game. Patch 3.230 brings PS VR2 enhancements, new features, QoL adjustments, and numerous bug fixes for a smoother experience.
Players can anticipate new Twitch Drops in July and August, requiring 1 hour of HITMAN World of Assassination viewership for items like the Purple Streak Swimwear. Three new challenges arrive in July and August, offering fresh objectives. Additionally, four new Featured Contracts Packs will be released, alongside the return of eight Year 5 Elusive Targets, providing abundant content for continued engagement.
